Porthcawl Injury Clinic was established by Chris Blake  in June 2011, having qualified as a remedial massage therapist in September 2007 and then completing a diploma in Sports Therapy in 2009.  He graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy.

Chris spends time between working for for the MOD as an Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor (ERI), helping service personnel with their rehabilitation and recovery from a range of musculoskeletal injuries and running Porthcawl Injury Clinic. He is also currently the Sports Therapist for Porthcawl RFC. Chris has gained valuable professional experience in a range of sports and events he was head of medical for three seasons with professional rugby league sides Gloucestershire All Golds RLFC and Sports Therapist for Celtic Crusaders RLFC for three seasons, working as part of the team that made it to super leage. Other experience include working as a therapist at Ironman Wales and various local triathlon events around south wales.  Chris has also worked with  Tondu RFC, Colgeg Morgannwg and Cardiff Blues Academy development squad, treating injuries and providing pitchside first aid at training and on match days.
